Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog if you have arrived from Jan's wonderful blog .

I've chosen to show you the tiny tags from the mini.
This is a fantastic little set, generally a little message for every occasion. Also brand new is the co-ordinating medium Jewellery tag punch. It is a new style that locks flat for storage but is still very easy to use. I have also sneaked in the new shimmer paints (
Frost on the box and Champagne Mist on the flowers), and some Night and Day papers.

I've created a little 4" x 4" card. I've used an Old Olive die cut flower and the Medallion background stamp which has been glittered using Heat and Stick all in the original Idea Book and Catalogue. I've punched out 6 scallop circles of Pink Flamingo papers scrunched up fanned out to creat a flower head. These have been secured by a Tempting Turquoise brad with a little Tiny Tag. Also the "leaves" are from the beautiful Sweet Pea Felt pieces.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your visit. Your next visit is to Carole beautiful blog.

Jacob's Coat

Saturday was the Stampin' Up! experience in Glasgow. I was asked to demo a technique. I chose the Jacob's Coat Technique. I stamped En Francais background stamp with Certainly Celery on Whisper White cardstock. Then using the sponge daubers, I sponged Pixie Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Tourquiose and Summer Sun ink over the cardstock. Then I wiped over this with my Stampin' Buddy. Using some of the butterfly images from Flight of the Butterfly, I stamped over the cardstock with Versamark Ink. These were then embossed with Clear Embossing Power. I then Brayered over the whole lot in Brocade Blue ink. The butterflies "pop" out like magic. Why not give it a go.

Card Samples using the March Offer

I've created a few cards using the Butterfly Punch and Scallop Oval that are in the March Offer. Hope you like them.

The Scallop Oval Card is using the beautiful Bella Bleu Papers and Kraft Taffeta Ribbon with Brocade Blue Ink.

With the Butterfly's I tried the acetate and reinkers technique, I used the Earth colours with a little gold glitter,I liked the effect. I just took a part of the Filigree Background stamp to be the background. What do you think?
