I'd like to just finish by thanking everyone who has supported me throughout 2008 and wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2009.

I have started on a project for a class I'll be doing in January. Review of 2008 in a mini Flap Book. Let me know if you are interested, I'll be firming up the date once everything is open again next week. Here's peek at the outside, but it's not finished yet.

Thinking ahead I have been playing with my Sale-a-Bration stamps and come up with Valentine's card.

Well I hope you had a lovely christmas, we did. I made these little Thank You cards that now I have to write and get sent off.

Reminder for Christmas

Today I made a very quick gift card holder.

Cut Chocolate Chip cardstock 4" x 10.5". Score at 3" and 7". At the 3.5" section cut a half circle using 1 3/8" punch. Using a craft knife, cut a slit the width of the gift card. Decorate with DSP. I used Holiday Treasure. I stamped DEC25 from Perfect Presents in Ruby Red. Attach the Scallop circle using a foam dimentional. I think that is a better way to give an iTunes voucher.

Just a quick reminder. If you were wanting a loved one to buy you that SU set for christmas, then please get the order to me no later than this Thursday 11th December, this will make sure there are no disappointments at Christmas.

Christmas Class

Thanks everyone for coming to my Christmas class. I know there was a lot to fit in and we did run out of time. Here are pictures of the finished samples to help you if you need it.

Cute.

I saw these on Creations by Patti blog and had to have a try. What do you think? I used SU cardstock in Real Red, Whisper White and Black, 1/4" circle and the round tab punch, 1/4" real red grosgrain ribbon and a ribbon slider from the Silver Hodgepodge set. They stand no bigger than 3 1/2" tall. You could fill them with sweeties for the children. I love it.

Rub ons and Brayer

Been having a play. First I made use of the November offer and got myself some of the rub ons. Thought I have a go on a very cheapie frame for a family photo my son wants in his bedroom. Swimming at Discovery Cove in Florida was one of the best days of the holiday this year. The background paper is from the Designer Paper set Cutie Pie. The Rub Ons came off very easily and with the offer of spend £20 and then get 20 % off the rub ons, fab value at £3 a sheet.

Next I thought about the using the brayer. I haven't used it in years, so it was good to get familar again. I used three colours for the sky. Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey and Perfect Plum. I had to roll some of the Basic Grey off to get 2nd or 3rd generation ink as it was quite dark. I added a piece of Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon. Then I stamped Lovely as a Tree in black and stamped over it again in Versamark so I could add the Heat n Stick and Dazzling Diamonds. The verse is from the Level 1 Hostess set. I need to practise more but I loved the technique.

Vellum and Tealights

Today I've been having a bit of a play with Vellum and battery operated LED tea lights. I've seen numerous designs in the blog world and thought I'd like to have a go.

I used SU vellum, what a lovely weight it is, not all flimsy.

On the tall lumiere I used Wonderous Gift scribble tree. I stamped it with Versamark and the applied Heat n Stick on it, once heated and sticky, I threw on some Dazzling Diamonds and heat set it. I then stamped on the stars (from the same set) in Real Red.

On the dish shape holder I stamped a Tree for all Seasons again in Versamark and embossed it in white.

Lastly the shade for the wine glass was stamped using the Snow Burst set, again with the Versamark and embossed in white.

I think they will be lovely at christmas and using the LED tea lights very safe.

New Catalogue.

Another card I made with the same set is this wrap around card.

This week I received my new Stampin' Up catalogues for 2008/2009. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised. More wheels , more stamp set and more punches. Plus better prices.

I love with Stampin' Up the ink pads match the cardstock and ribbon , the punches coordinate with the stamps this gives us all such fabulous results.

Talking of which here is my card that won the Scottish Demonstrator choice.
