Crop and Stamping Away Classes

I know it's a busy time but sometimes we just need a little time for ourselves. On December 10th I've book a Blackness Community Hall (Next to Blackness Primary School) for a crop. You don't have to be a scrapbooker to come along, you can do cardmaking, knitting, or sewing, just for a catchup with crafty friends before it goes manic.lol The hall is booked from 10am to 4pm and will cost £10. I'll bring along the tea and coffee, just bring your lunch and your craft for the day. Let me know if you're coming along.

Also looking into the New Year, I'm planning on making the crop a regular thing and will be offering a class as an extra if there is interest.

Stamping Away will start again February 4th (venue to be confirmed). information will be sent out shortly but we are going to kick off with a punch which we feel you're going to love.

Convention News and More...

Sorry I've not posted for a while, I was so busy getting ready to go Stampin' Up! Convention in Disneyland Paris, it's been a whirlwind.

Well it was worth it as Convention was GREAT. The best ever. I'll posted some photo's tomorrow.

It was full of like minded ladies and the odd gent and we swapped ideas, listened to inspiring people and of course bought in Momento Mall.

There is a Gala Dinner on the Friday Night followed by an Awards Ceremony. Well I was awarded for Recruiting this year. I received a stamp set Creatively Yours and a special pin. PLUS, much to my surprise...Demonstrator of the Year. This is where the top 25 demonstrators for each country receive a pin, certificate of achievement and a rose from Shelli. I was no. 23. Not bad out of 750 UK demonstrators. So to all my downline and customers, I thank you for helping me achieve these milestones, I'm so grateful. I also have to thank all my fellow demonstrators, especially the scottish contigence, for the big cheers they gave me when I walked the stage.

Convention finished Saturday afternoon, so we took a train into the center of Paris and went up the Effile Tower. The lift freaked me out a bit but what fantastic views at the top.

Our flight back wasn't until the evening, so we had a day in the parks at DLP. What a great way to finish off a great weekend.

Next year is the 2nd and 3rd November in Germany, fancy joining me?

Then it all went downhill...
I had a sore back and a touch of Sciatica on Sunday night that the usual tablets didn't shift, so I made an appointment at the Drs. Well I never quite made it to the Drs. The pain got worse and on walking to the Drs, I collapsed and ended up at A&E and then admitted. Home now with strong painkillers and a crutch..wonderful. Lesson, don't ignore back pain.

New Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome, well this is exciting. A New Catalogue Blog Hop. A group of very talented Stampin' Up! demontrators are partipating in a Blog Hop which will give you lots of inspiration with some of the fabulous new products.

You may have arrived at my blog from Glittermum who has no doubt WOWed you.

So firstly I'd like to show you that we have a Pennant Punch (Picture me manically clapping)..PLUS after much nagging from UK demonstrators Halloween stamps and 12 x 12 papers. Those eagled eyed amongst you, may have also noticed a decorative circle die cut that matches our scallop trim border and corner punches. This can be found on our Big Shot New Perfect Pennants Die.

The Halloween Papers are called Frightful Sight. You get 12 sheets in a pack. 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. Every year we go with the children Trick or Treating, so I look forward to using these papers for my scrapbooking later this month. The stamp set is called Jack of all Trades. A set of 8 stamps.

For the little treat bag topper, I used the wonderful Top Note Die. I'll be making a few of these for the 31st.

My next offering is a decorated candle. This used the beautiful set Delicate Doilies. This is a set of 4 stamps. I have very simply stamped onto Whisper White in Real Red and Old Olive. The middle layer (Old Olive) was punched out with the 1 3/4 circle punch and the other two layer I cut around. The belly band was punch out using the new Lace Border Punch and Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon threaded through. Of course I had to add a bit of bling with the Rhinestone in the middle.

Thank you for stopping by . If you'd like more information on anything here or to purchase any Stampin' Up! products, them please get in touch.

Your next stop is to off to SarahLP who will have more fantastic ideas for you.

Tuesday, 23 August 2011

I was also asked to make a nice large card for a 16 year old niece. This is what I came up with. Put my Big Shot to use with Beautiful Butterflies and the butterfly embosslit and swirls sizzlit. Also the brilliant large swirl from Baroque Motifs stamp in Rich Razzleberry complimented with Regal Rose. Found a piece of retired polka dot ribbon. Sad, I loved that ribbon. Oh well I wonder what October will bring.

I was asked by a friend of mine to make her some EID cards. I have to confess I was stumped as to what to do for a while but I came up with these. I've used my favorite Medallion stamp and the fab jewel like colours of Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango. Plus a few rhinestones. Hope she likes them.

Male cards

Don't we all find the males in our lifes difficult to make cards for. Well I have a few birthdays coming up and thankfully in the new mini there are some stamps that are great for these occasions.

My brother was motorbike mad until he hurt his back and then found it not so comfortable. In the new mini there is an A la Carte stamp of a motorbike and I had to get it. At our regional training Charlotte showed us a card similar to this one and I have tweaked it to make this for his birthday.I have used Crystal Effects over the paintwork to make it glossy and stand out and the new Glass Glitter for stones.
Inside I repeated stamped the motor bike without reinking to give it a look of driving away. The sentiment on the front is out of the Plane and Simple set and inside from Level 3 Hostess set Occasional Quotes. Hope you enjoy this fun card.

Loving the new mini...

I have been playing again and thought I'd share.

This card says everything I love about Stampin' Up!. Everything co-ordinates, the Designer Series Paper, the cardstock, ink, ribbon, stamps and punches. Plus now we can do so much more as we have the Big Shot.

I've seen them everywhere, these quilted cards. So this is my version. Using the Springtime Vintage DSP I've punched out some 1 1/4" squares and stuck them down on the good old grid paper. When I had roughly an A5 piece covered, I cut it out and using the Top Note die, put it through the Big Shot. I then put it through the square lattice embossing folder and it came out looking just like fabric. Beautiful. Then stamped one of the Four Frames stamps using Crumb Cake and punched out using the decorative label punch. Then a thanks from the Thank You Kindly set in Rose Red. All wrapped together with some Rose Red Seam Binding.Hope you like.

New Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the ILWS Mini Blog Hop.

Well if you've followed the blog hop you will have come from the very talented Lindsey.

Well, we have finally got the Big Shot. I made this brooch using the Circles #2 die. I bought this polyester material remment at the local fabric shop and in one pass cut 8 circles each of the four circles on the die. I roughly layered them up and then secured them in the middle with a giant crystal brad. I heated the edges with my heat gun. This curls the edges. When I was happy with the look I glued a pin back to the back of the brad. I made some for my team too.

This Top Note die I think is going to be very popular, it is so versatile. Here is a basket, kindly shown to us by my downline Michele and of course don't throw away the negative. It can be a fabulous frame. Also it fits all of our cello bags, so makes a great topper. The Beautiful Butterflies are just that..beautiful and with our new the embossing folders, the possibilities are endless.

I hope you have enjoyed your stop, next stop is staying in Scotland and visiting the wonderful Evelyn.

Thanks for stopping by.

SALE-A-BRATION 2011 Blog Hop

Thank you for joining in the Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop. I'm the first blog in group 2, so you will either have started with me and come along from Laura at the end of group 1.

My first card uses the cute owl from the Punch Bunch Sale-a-Bration set. I stamped the owl twice in Soft Suede on Whisper White twice and cut it out and then again in Concord Crush and Blushing Bride on the corresponding colour Designer Pad that is a level 1 Hostess set.

The background was stamped using the Love you Much set and the Poppy Parade Red heart where again from the Designer pad using the Heart to Heart punch.

Watch out for the Owl Punch coming in April.

My next card uses the Sale-a-Bration set Sweet Summer. The stems are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and using the blender pen the leaves were coloured in. The heart flowers are the tiny heart fron the Heart to Heart punch. One in Early Expresso, Baja Breeze and So Saffron. These have been embellished with the tiny self adhesive pearls. The butterfly was stamped in So Saffron and again coloured using the blender pen. The image was then mounted on Early Expresso and Pear Pizzazz ribbon is tied around. This was then mounted on the Baja Breeze which was stamped with one of the flower heads also in Baja Breeze.

This next card I did with my team. The base is Baja Breeze. Using Red Riding Hood I stamped the large image from the Sale-a-Bration Bliss set in each of the four corners. Added a couple of butterflies also from this set. A panel of Red Riding Hood that has used the Scallop Trim Border punch. Again using the Punch Bunch set the scallop Happy Birthday square and punch out uing the scallop square punch.
The flowers are our new paper flowers that have been spritzed with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and Peach Parfait mixed with rubbing alcohol and embellished with a large pearl.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my offerings and now your next stop is to very talented Emma.
